Green

Green is the color and smell of a lime.
If it wasn't for green no one would be on time.

Green is the color of clothes.
I really don't like green clothes but nobody knows.

I never seen someone with green hair.
If I did it will give me a nightmare.

Green is the color of some people eyes .
If I I had green eyes I would hide in disguise.

Blue is the color of the sky

For what is the worth of what you buy

Blue is the color of my jeans

What does or could this mean

Blue is the color of suffering

For there is no happiness to bring

Blue is the color of coldness

Red is a symbol of love with the heart

Like a married couple, until death do us part

Strawberries and cherries are red

Eat them with whipped cream when you’re sick in bed

Red beans and rice at Popeye’s

Oh chicken with red meat inside

Black and red; colors of the devil

Oh believe me I’ll never be on that level

Strawberry juice is good to me

Well I guess red is the color for me

Blue is a berry,

Not a Sugar Plum Faerie.

Blue is some candy,

(Suckers are dandy.)

Blue are my eyes,

They hold many a surprise.

You tore it apart.

Blackness is always around me
Were can I go when I can’t see

It wraps around me like tar,

But yet I see the light and don’t go far

It holds me so tight and yet I see my road

From all of my dreams, it’s holding me back

I can’t go on, ‘cause all I see is black.

Red

Cherry colored nails neatly done

With strawberry lipstick I knew I’d won

Everyone clapped as I took my rose

Then I took a walk in my red timbo’s

At the stop sign I took a break

Next thing I know I wasn’t awake

The sky looked like all peppermint sticks

The houses were all made of orange-red bricks

An apple aroma was the beautiful smell

Where I was at, I really couldn’t tell

I seen red stripes in the ocean’s waves

I was so scared I wish I were saved

This land so bloody it was a fright

Next thing I know I seen a bright light

Someone was in my face wide-awake

My heart beating fast made me start to shake

My day was all red, never happened again

Since that day happened red’s been my new friend

Blue

Blue is the color of my wall,

I wore blue clothing to the mall.

Blue candy is what I love,

Why can’t be the color of a dove?

Blue hair would be fun,

But it wouldn’t look right in the sun.

I really love blue cars,

But I know I can’t take them to the stars.

So now you know I love the color blue,

Blue would be a good color for Elmer’s Glue.

Purple Fantasyland
 

As I pick the plum from the tree,

I can see the sky looking at me.

When I smell the violet in my hand,

I pretend I am in fantasyland.             

When I’m there, I can see,

The violet grass and the purple tree.

That purple tree is really tall,

The violet flowers aren’t at all.

And when I woke up, I could see,

My mom's purple dress over me.

Red

Red is the color that fascinates me

It usually brings me joy and tears of glee

But it doesn’t always mean happiness all around

Sometimes the color red isn’t mean to be found

Don’t get mad and start to feel sad

Because the color red doesn’t have to always be bad

You can think of it as the soul of your heart

The color that helps you breathe and keeps you from falling apart

So some may love it and some may hate it

But you can tell from this poem that I don’t ever debate it
